A 25-year-old Puna man has been charged in connection with the Dec. 2 theft of a Toyota Prius from Kehena Beach Park.

Sateki Nisa is charged with second-degree theft and first-degree unauthorized control of a stolen vehicle.

According to county Prosecutor Kelden Waltjen, court records indicate that at the time of the alleged offenses, Nisa was facing revocation of probation in an unrelated offense.

Bail was set at $20,000, and Nisa was scheduled for an initial appearance Thursday in Hilo District Court.
